What is SuperPhoto?

SuperPhoto gives you the best photos automatically. It automatically analyzes the scene and intelligently applies the best image processing for the shot. SuperPhoto is processed in the camera and is enabled by increasing the camera's memory to 2GB.

Depending on the lighting, movement in your shot, and other conditions, SuperPhoto will choose one of four options:
  1. High Dynamic Range (HDR)
  2. Local Tone Mapping
  3. Multi-Frame Noise Reduction
  4. No Processing

2. Scroll through the options on the right , then select SuperPhoto.

HERO7 Black: Turning SuperPhoto On

SuperPhoto is off by default. Here’s how to turn it on.

Step 1 - From the Photo screen, tap the settings.

Which cameras have SuperPhoto?
HERO7 Black, HERO8 Black

Does SuperPhoto work with Burst Photos?
No, SuperPhoto only works for single photos.

It seems to take longer to process a SuperPhoto than a normal photo
This is normal. The extra time is needed to apply image processing, it may take a little longer to process and save each shot.

Does SuperPhoto work with RAW Photo or Protune?
No, SuperPhoto does not work with RAW Photo or Protune.
