HindSight is a HERO9 Black feature that is a bit of a combination between Looping recording and a video version of Live Burst. You have the option to select 15 or 30 seconds of HindSight. When you have this enabled, the camera continuously records audio and video, but only saves 15 or 30 seconds to the SD card when you hit the shutter button. This feature ensures you won't miss a moment of action that you want to capture, while also saving valuable SD card space.
It's important to understand that as the camera is recording while HindSight is active, this could have significant impact to the battery life.
To activate Hindsight
1. Go to your Preset dashboard and select Hindsight. You'll have 3 options; Off, 15 seconds, and 30 seconds
2. After you have enabled HindSight and you return to your idle screen, you will see a counter pill at the top of the screen. While this is counting up, the pill will be grey. Once HindSight has reached the selected time, the pill turns blue.
3. You are free to hit the shutter button to start recording at any time (even while HindSight is filling). As an example, if you set HindSight for 15 seconds but you hit the shutter button at 6 seconds, you'll have that 6 seconds of action plus however long you let the recording run.
