GoPro Subscription: How To Transfer Or Gift A Subscription

Whether you are looking to transfer a GoPro Subscription from one account to another or simply gift to a friend; we’ve got you covered!
  

Eligibility

  • You may transfer any GoPro Subscription purchased in the last 60 days. 
  • It may take up to 24 hours from the time of purchase to be eligible to transfer.
  • Subscription can be transferred to any valid email address that is not already associated with an active GoPro Subscription. 
  • Transfer must be accepted by the recipient within 14 days or it will be cancelled and the subscription will remain active on your account

 

Transfer a GoPro Subscription

 

To transfer a recently purchased subscription, follow these steps:

  1. Login to your GoPro Account https://gopro.com/login.
  2. Select Settings Gear Icon from the left toolbar.
  3. Select [Subscription] from the top toolbar.
  4. Select [Transfer/Gift Subscription] under Billing Method details.
  5. Enter the recipient’s name and email address. You also have the option to add a message to their email notification. 
  6. Note: Doing the following step immediately notify's the recipient, so make sure you're ready for them to know they're receiving a subscription. Select [Save And Continue] when you are ready to transfer the subscription and notify the recipient. 

 

Accept a GoPro Subscription Transfer

To accept a GoPro Subscription transfer, follow these steps:
  1. Locate the email from Subscriptions@GoPro.com.
  2. Select [Accept Subscription] from the body of the e-mail.
  3. A new webpage will open asking you to login to your existing account or create a password if you are a new user.
  4. Upon creating a password, you will automatically be logged into your new active account.

 

Cancel a Pending GoPro Subscription Transfer

To cancel a pending GoPro Subscription transfer, follow these steps:
  1. Login to your GoPro Account https://gopro.com/login.
  2. Select Settings Gear Icon from the left toolbar.
  3. Select [Subscription] from the top toolbar.
  4. Select [Cancel Pending Transfer/Gift] under Billing Method details.

 

Additional Information

Media Transfer
If you have media in your GoPro account and you decide to transfer the subscription, your media will not be shared or accessible by the recipient. 
 
Billing Method
Your personal billing details are not shared or accessible by the recipient, nor will they be used for future payments on the subscription once it has been successfully transferred.
