GoPro Quik: Wired Camera Connection

Where does this apply?

  • GoPro Quik v10.0 and newer
  • HERO10 Black
  • HERO9 Black

Android

Cables needed:

  • Standard USB-C to USB-C 

Steps:

  1. Turn on the GoPro Camera. HER010 Black users skip to step 3. HERO9 Black users go to step 2.
  2. (Only HERO9 Black) Put camera [USB Connection] into [MTP].
    1. Swipe down on the back LCD screen.
    2. Swipe right and tap [Connections].
    3. Open [USB Connection] and select [MTP].
  3. Connect the camera to your mobile device via USB-C cable.
  4. On your Android device, select GoPro Quik, then indicate you would like to use this app every time. This automatically launches GoPro Quik whenever the app is plugged in moving forward.

iPhone / iPad Users

Cables Needed:

iOS devices with USB-C portStandard USB-C to USB-C 
iOS devices with Lightning portStandard USB-A to USB-C cable and Apple's Lightning to USB Adapter.


Steps:

  1. Turn on the GoPro Camera. HER010 Black users skip to step 3. HERO9 Black users go to step 2.
  2. (Only HERO9 Black) Put camera USB Connection into [GoPro Connect].
    1. Swipe down on the back LCD screen.
    2. Swipe right and tap [Connections].
    3. Open [USB Connection] and select [GoPro Connect].
  3. Connect the USB-C to the camera before connecting anything to your iPad/iPhone.
  4. iPhone or iPad with a Lightning port: Connect the USB-A to your adapter, then connect the adapter to your iPad/iPhone. The only adapter currently supported is Apple's Lightning to USB Adapter.
  5. iPad with USB-C port: Connect the other end of USB-C to the iPad and you are good to go.
