"Wi-Fi Not Ready" Appears on Camera When Pairing in the GoPro App

What's the issue?
While attempting to pair a camera to your mobile device via the GoPro App, the camera shows a message saying "Wi-Fi Not Ready".

Where does it apply?
  • HERO5 Black or later

How to fix it?
Perform a factory reset on the camera. Once it powers back on, remove the battery and wait a few minutes, then reinsert the battery once more and power it back on. Go through the pairing process once more, and the camera will pair just fine.

Please note that you may have to attempt this multiple times.
