Does The Music and Effects in Splice Have Copyrights?

by GoPro ‎09-30-2019 11:44 PM - edited ‎10-08-2019 01:04 AM
Question
Does Splice's music and effects have copyrights?
Where does it apply?
  • Splice

Answer
All of our music and effects have copyrights, but we have licensed them for our customer's use. You can use the songs and effects in your videos as long as it is not for commercial use.

If YouTube or Facebook state that the songs have a copyright, choose to dispute. Sometimes other companies claim to own the copyrights to the same or very similar music.

If you would like to use the music or effects for commercial use, please contact 5 Alarm Music: http://www.5alarmmusic.com/ to validate that the song is still licensed with Splice. If the song is no longer licensed with Splice, unfortunately, we no longer may not be able to acquire the rights to the song.
