I live in Japan but bought my GoPro 7 Black from the international GoPro website (which I think is in the US) because it was much cheaper to get it from there than if I bought it locally even with shipping included (electronics are ridiculously priced over there!).
Anyway, my question is, although I do see Japan in the list of countries eligible for damage replacement, will my GoPro be replaced for damage even if it was bought in a different region? I'm assuming that if I send in my GoPro in for replacement, I'll have to send it to GoPro Japan, and the company here might not replace it because they'll say I bought it in a different region. I have had the experience of a company not honoring my warranty because the product was bought in a different country.
