the usb side door has broken at the hinge attachment shoulder. this is only the 4th time its been op

The usb side door has broken at the hinge soulder. this is only the 4th time of downloading video as i normally use the go pro as an insurance whilst cycling and only have it looping. this surely cant be anything but a fault? I really cant see why i should have to buy a replacement. Picture attached. Help please. I have two of these and the other one has no problem!
