Hi all,
I had the same problem with my remo. It has been brought from the US. And I discovered that it was not working. So, i contacted GoPro by chat. I explained my problem and they told me to send it to their place in Europe ( Netherlands) at a specific address.
The guy was cool and made the warranty to work outside US, so I suggest you to contact the GoPro support. I had to contact them in the early evening because they were too busy in the day.

Have today accepted a free replacement of a GoPro Smart Remote , as the Remo is no longer in stock and they cannot advise when they will be restocking them.

 

Gopro has been good in keeping myself informed regarding the return of the intial faulty unit, its a shame that it took them three weeks to come to this decision as I needed it for a photography trip to Scotland.

Just make sure they don't send you a second hand one like they did with me. I'm still sorting mine out now for over a month. Will update when the issue is sorted. So far not a happy GoPro customer.

Picked up a Remo yesterday and experiencing the same thing, was there a solution or are they defective?
