I am very new to editing . I am trying to add music to a clip, there is wind noise, not to bad. When I add the music it lays in very low volume, so when I turn up the volume to hear the music the wind noise overpowers the music. Also, I would much rather hear my motor than the wind noise. any suggestions?

@robertw474 - You can add music in during the editing process. Quik will replace all of the audio with one of our music tracks, and you can use Studio to add in a song of your choice.

You can turn down the db under the audio tab in Step 2 of Studio but this will reduce all audio from the video. The best way to manage wind is to use wind reduction in your audio settings with the camera. Additionally, you can use the Protune Audio to create a seperate high quality audio file. There are free programs like audacity that allow you to manipulate the sound file and add filters to reduce unwanted noise like wind, however this takes quite a bit of practice to perfect. There are other options include using external mics with wind socks but without knowing how you are using the camera and what you are hoping to achieve in the way of sound, it's hard to give more percise advice.

Thanks for the info, I am using it on a touring motorcycle, wanting to capture clips of our cross country trip. I would not mind hearing a little bit of the engine sound. Can you just put a little piece of tape over the mic holes, for no sound. Then add music for a sound track?
