New GoPro user here and I ended up with a Hero5 Black because my local stores did not have the Hero4 Silver or Hero+LCD available, as I prefer a camera with a LCD screen (and I couldn't order online because I had to get one for a trip in a couple days).
Anyhow, I originally bought the dual battery charger accessory that comes with one spare battery, but was disappointed to find out it does not come with a cable to charge from the wall, only a USB cable for charging through a USB slot on a computer, etc. So I returned it.
I'm in a search for a wall charger and I see two available officially from GoPro, one that is model AWALC-001 and another that looks to be a newer model AWALC-002. Both come with international power attachments which I'm not sure I need. But what is the difference between the two model chargers other than one being newer than the other? Is the older model still compatible with the Hero5 Black or should I go with the newest wall charger, AWALC-002, given the Hero5 is the latest GoPro camera? The price difference between the two can be anywhere from $10-$20 depending if the old wall charger is on sale for $29.99 (retail is $39.99), while the newer wall charger model retails at $49.99. Thanks in advance.
