Suction cup failure

Hi Support

I've recently just traveled to Death Valley in the US and had an unfortunate failure of my go pro suction cup. I'd been using it for a week in San Francisco without any issues. As it was my first time using the suction cup I had tied it to the grill as a safety measure. Unfortunately this wasn't short enough to avoid hitting the ground. In death valley the suction cup failed and ended up being dragged along the floor as I was driving at 70mph. I'd followed all instructions and cleaned the car surface etc but I have a feeling the heat of death valley was too much for the rubber. My question is does this class as a manufacturer issue as I can't seem to find a temperature warning. It was around 40 deg that day.
