Smart Remote will not charge

Okay so finally decided to buy a GoPro, purchased the smart remote at the same time (2 weeks ago) the smart remote turns on and pairs, but it will not charge. Checked the terminals, brand new so not dirty, plugged it into various USB ports, Computer, wall chargers etc, it just appears it is faulty straight out of the box?? I would have thought go pro would test this sort of thing before it leaves factory. Anyone have any ideas?

Okay so My experiences with GoPro to date have been terrible, finally got the warranty return sorted out, sent back the remote complete with charging cable and accessories, especially as not sure if the charging issue was the remote or cable etc, instead of sending me a new replacement all I recieved back was a loose remote in a plain box! No charging cable, no wrist strap no nothing, so I still have a remote that is absolutely useless to me!! Awesome work GoPro!! FYI that is Sarcasm

Please let our customer support team about that. 

 

As far as I know there is a note that you should only return the defective item not the whole package since the warehouse will only replace the damaged or defective product.
