GoPro Singapore sent me a replacement Remo for the one that I sent back that was Dead-On-Arrival.
Lo and Behold...
This one has the same **bleep** problem. They couldn't even be bothered to test if it was working!
So **bleep** DISAPPOINTING!

I contacted GoPro through their chat interface and worked out an RMA.
I just got the replacement back, and it seems to charge and work.
Does anyone know a way to keep these working? Do I need to keep it charged? I guess I could get one of the small USB chargers and just keep it on the charger in the case when I'm not using it.

I have the exact same problem.
Brand new, out of the box, NOT working.
I've tried everything the manual said but the problem persisted.
Has anyone resolved this issue or do I need to have my Remo replaced?

I had the same problem. I took it back to the shop and they exchanged it. That one did not charge either.
I went back again and went the tech support desk of John Lewis. They were great but tried everyone in the shop 5 in total and they all had the same problem. Spent about an hour in the shop trying to sort it but no good.
Now travelling on holiday without a remote!
The GoPro support refused to admit there was a known problem!
