REMO will not chatge

I recieved my REMO yesterday and plugged it in using the USB cable.  I did not see any status lights and it seems to not have charged.  I tried putting it in pairing mode as well and no light comes on.  This is brand new right out of the box. 

 

I followed the instructions including trying to reset it but nothing seems to work.  We leave for Maui on Sunday and It's not looking good to have the REMO for this trip ;-(.

I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the REMO. I wanted to see how you are charging that REMO. If you have not tried using a wall outlet I would definitely try that. You are going to want to use at least a 5v 1Amp wall charger. If you are using a computer you may want to try the USB Ports at the back of the computer and remove all unneeded USB devices. Hope that helps!

Thanks Ryan for getting back to me. I tried a wall outlet and the back of the computer. Note that everything else charges fine, but the REMO is unresponsive. We are headed to Maui on Sunday, and I wanted to use it there with the GoPro 5, but unfortunatly, I had to return it this morning. Hopefully, I can find a place on Maui that caries the REMO and I can pick one up there.

I have the same issue. The REMO manufacturing QA sucks. I got a brand new one from AMAZON - day one out of the box it wont charge. Returned and ordered a new one. 2 days later new one arrives. The same problem. Out o the box it wont charge- 1 or 3 blinking red light when attached and it wont charge. Pressing the power button or shutter button 3 secconds or 8 secconds does not DO ANYTHING. DOA... Dead On Arrival. Tried to charge with over 15 different chargers including iphone, ipad, mac USB, PC USB, Ravpower, Andoroid, Samsung and many other USB chargers all with 5+V and 1-2.4AMP - So THE ISSUE IS BAD DOA Remo sold to make customers hate Gopro- I have been a GoPro user since version 1 and have spent over 5K over 5 years.- Techsupport line is 3 hr wait on a weekday-What about customer service?

I too had same problem today. Got Remo... Plugged into wall USB... NO charge light. Let charge for over 2 hrs. Unplugged. Followed all the rules... NOTHING. DOA. On a positive Note I called GOPRO and they answered immediately. The CS rep was fast and efficient. I think this was the 1,000 call she got on this item. Immediate replacement  to be shipped asap. SO, we will see. SO odd that there are these problems and they still ship them out. Quality Assurance at the end of the assembly line should have caught this issue... Stay tuned.
