Pro 3.5mm mic adapter not recognised by Hero7 Black

My mic adapter arrived today. Plugged it into my Hero H7 Black.
- Opened Preferences > Input/Output
- Audio Input = N/A
In other words, dead on arrival. The adapter is not recognised by the the camera.
I have tried the following:
- Tried two different TRS to TRS cables. They are working through other equipment.
- Two different mics.
- Factory Resetting the GoPro.
- Verified it is running the most current software at the time of this post. v1.70.
I'm going to return it to the shop I bought it from. I will ask for a replacement. But based on the posts I'm seeing around, I don't have much faith that the replacement adapter will work as expected either.
I'll post my experience here on the thread once I receive the replacement unit.

Thank you EJ. Yes, the solution on the post you mentioned also solved my problem.
Answer: Activate Protune on the camera to see options for the Pro 3.5mm Mic Adapter.
Please make an edit to the Hero 7 Black manual on page 47 "Connecting to an External Microphone."
Add a new step 1. or state a prerequisite that Protune must be turned on in the camera before the adapter is recognised and the Input options become available.
It would also make sense to mention the Protune dependency in the "Tech specs: Protune > Microphone Settings" section on page 119.

Thank you for posting back @dedubuyu
We'll have this forwarded to the team.
Is anyone else finding the need for Protune to be turned on before they can access the audio settings when using an external mic?
Regards,
Ej
