Based on the other responses, I returned mine to Amazon and replaced it with the Smart remote.  Sorry.

You are right, I'm experiencing the same problem. After trying to turn on my first one I went back to the shop, they gave me another one. This  sencon one has the exact same problem, I tried to turn it on, charge, connecting to my hero5 session, even trying to reset it.  The computer doesn't even recognize it!!!
