Micro SD Cards UHS1 vs UHS3

I’m looking to get a new Micro SD Card, I currently have a Sandisk Extreme UH3 32GB but I’d prefer a bigger one.

Am I right in saying the only difference between UHS1 and UHS3 is the speed of them? Where does this speed occur? And from your experience is it noticeable enough to spend the extra money?

Appreciate any input and thanks in advance

Re: Micro SD Cards UHS1 vs UHS3

Yes, the main difference is in the bitrate (writing/reading speed).
I use a Sandisk Extreme U3 cards in 64gb and 128GB. 32 is just not enough space for me ;)

Re: Micro SD Cards UHS1 vs UHS3

U1 and U3 refer to the data bus used. Refer to this list when deciding on the card you purchase https://community.gopro.com/t5/en/SD-Cards-that-Work-with-GoPro-Cameras/ta-p/394308 Samsung Plus/Samsung Select and PNY tend to be the cheaper (price) cards. Copy the model number and use it to search for the card.
