Housing differences for hero 3+

I just bought a used hero 3+ as my first gopro camera. It came with a housing, and I plan on buying the lcd bacpac for it. From what i found online there are 2 different housings made for the 3+, and i need to figure out which one i have so i purchase the correct backdoor for it. 

Can anyone tell me how i might visually tell the difference between the original Hero 3 + housing and the new Hero 3 + housing?

HERO3+ BacPac Backdoor is thicker in terms of coverage compared to the standard housing.
