About 50% of the time, after I set recording in process using the WiFi remote and then press the remote red button to stop recording, the remote appears to disconnect from the Hero3's WiFi and then goes into WiFi searching mode. The Camera keeps recording. After 2 to 3 minutes, the remote re-establishes connection with the Camera and works normally and I can stop the Camera recording using the remote. I have recently done a WiFi and Firmware update on the Hero3. I can't seem to find instructions for updating firmware on the remote which is displaying it has firmware version 2.1.7. I have re-paired the remote to the Camera.

Hi @mnhart, it looks like you already have the most updated firmware version of the Smart Remote. After an extended period of time, the connection will time-out in order to conserve battery. The Smart Remote and your camera will need to get the connection re-established before the remote can control the camera again.
