Gopro Remo wont switch on nor charge

Seems this is a common problem judging by many others sharing the same experience on social media. How is it possible for a company like this to release such a faulty product into the market. Is there anything that I can do to bring this Remo to life? Yes, I've obviously pressed power button for 3 secs and longer. Yes, I've tried changing it directly through a wall charger. The thing is dead straight out of the box. Red light comes on briefly when charge cable is plugged in but then goes out almost immediately. Please advise!

The battery manufacturer that provided these to GoPro obviously gave them duds. There is not much you can do (except maybe opening the unit and swapping the batter, which will void warranty, take away water proofing, and possibly damage the REMO components). If you purchases from a shop or from other than GoPro directly, you should return it for refund. If you purchased from GoPro (or if the other store wont accept the return), contact the GoPro Support Team and they will give you some options. https://gopro.com/help/ContactUs
