Endless Pool Video Recording

[ New ]

I am purchasing the Black 7 specifically for endless pool swim analysis. Is this a good choice for this purpose.  And what mounting options do you recommend for keeping the camera under water, being able to attach to various parts of the pool to capture all angles.

The camera should work great for this. As far as mounting, this really depends on a lot of factors. A 3-way with the handle anchored to the top side of the pool could work. Also, if you were to place mounts on dry tile (no problem getting wet after 24 hours after being applied), then you could use a few gooseneck to adjust and mount the camera under water. If you don't want to use adhesive mounts, the suction mount might work as long as the mounting surface is flat and smooth. Finally, you could use the pole mount (or large tube mount) to put the camera on a pole (like a pool brush).

These are just a few ideas, but there are so many GoPro mounts and DIY options for these cameras, the possible solutions are limitless.

Here are some links to products I mentioned.

3-Way https://shop.gopro.com/mounts/3-way/AFAEM-001.html

Suction Cup Mount https://shop.gopro.com/mounts/suction-cup/AUCMT-302.html

Gooseneck (you can connect more than one together) https://shop.gopro.com/mounts/gooseneck/ACMFN-001.html

Mounts (you get the basic mounts with the camera, but I'd use the larger surfboard mounts in this case) https://shop.gopro.com/mounts/surfboard-mounts/ASURF-001.html

Pole mount https://shop.gopro.com/mounts/handlebar-seatpost-pole-mount/AGTSM-001.html

Large tube mount https://shop.gopro.com/mounts/large-tube-mount/AGTLM-001.html
