Email support Hero 5 door

Do GoPro still have email support or is it just chat and phone? I've had my Hero 5 for 1 month now. Been using it in the Karma today then wanted to go swimming. Door wouldn't click back into place to make it waterproof and guess what, the attaching loop snapped off. It appears to still click in so probably waterproof but once again, another holiday (3 now) that has heen compromised due to GoPro poor quality.

When clicking the door back into place, are you extending the door fully first? That should make it easier to get reattached.

Yes sir, I watched many YouTube videos as I was concerned about breaking it. I've used the Karma with it a few times now and refitted the door and it's been fine when I've refitted it. I noted on all the videos and even showed the wife on attaching it today and said you had to slide it forward and hear the snick as it locks back in. Pretty annoyed now as 3 holidays have been compromised due to 3 GoPro issues.

3 holidays in one month? I wish I'ld be you ...

 

The door is a poor design in my POV. A friend of mine got a Hero 5 were the door was DOA (dead on arrival); it simply fell off the camera when opened the first time for charging battery.

Better opt for a super suit (I fully agree: wast of money to buy a case for a 'waterproof' camera) 'cause it will not ruin your vacation.

Ha ha, not 3 in one month. Bought the hero 4 in Dec 14 for my honeymoon In June the next year. It wouldn't respond on the 2nd day all the way to the 13th day. 1500 mile ride thru Rockies, so much not able to record. Then in December the 3 way fell apart in the sea and I just managed to catch the camera before it was lost forever so couldn't use Hero 4 in water for diving etc then the door issue now. I'm on holiday, 1st day used Karma to video, put door back on to swim, now can't trust its waterproof so no diving videos in this holiday. To say I'm angry is an understatement. Someone needs their asses licked in GoPro.

I'm now home after not being able to use my GoPro in the water for the first time with my birthday gift of the Floaty, can't live chat on iPhone, can't live chat on safari on my laptop, use explorer, screen sits on "Hang on while I connect you to an agent" for 20 minutes.
