Does "mic adapter for Hero 5 Black/Hero 5 Session" work with Hero 7? [ Edited ]

Hello all,

I bought a hero 7 and was planning to buy 3.5mm adapter for it. But it is out of stock everywhere. Found a second hand online but it says for "hero 5/ hero 5 session" on its box. Does it work work with hero 7 too? 

Because it is the same box, same usb-c port and audio output. The only difference that I see online is that "compatible with hero 7" sticker on the new boxes.
