Cracked lens on housing hero 8

Is there housing that have plastic lens covers and not glass because im pretty annoyed after not even 2 minutes into my first use the lens cover on the $90 housing cracked. Have had a 3 black for years and never a drama so I decided to upgrade.

Had anyone else had issues??
