HERO10 Black: Software Update 1.19.44 Beta

This beta version of the upcoming HERO10 Black software gives you early access to your camera's latest features and upgrades.

Since it's a beta version, it's not available through the GoPro Quik app. To apply the 1.19.44 beta firmware to your camera you will need to perform a manual update.

Please download the firmware here.

If you are unfamiliar with how to perform a manual update, please visit this page to view the steps. Do not download the firmware on the instructions page.

New Features

The software upgrades your GoPro with Max Lens Mod compatibility, additional frame rates, and our most immersive digital lens in our highest resolution.

Max Lens Mod Compatibility
Max out your HERO10 Black with unbreakable stabilization, an ultra-wide 155° field of view and Horizon Lock. Simply remove your camera's standard lens cover and replace it with Max Lens Mod. Swipe down on your camera's rear touch screen and tap the Max Lens Mod icon before recording.

Additional Frame Rates
New frame rates have been added including 24fps for film and television production.

New Frame Rates

5.3K 24 16:9
5K 24 4:3
4K 30/25/24 4:3
1080 24 16:9

All 24fps settings for Max Lens Mod will be available in a future firmware update.

5.3K SuperView Digital Lens
The SuperView digital lens (16mm) takes our widest and tallest field of view and serves it up as 16:9 video. The result is an ultra-immersive, full-screen shot that captures more of everything. Simply tap the digital lens icon any time you're shooting 5.3K video and use the slider to select SuperView.
