So I was both peeved and excited to see GoPro finally incorporate a webcam mode to their cameras, but at the same time I just bought a cam link 4k so felt like I wasted $130. But in my opinion, the images are vastly different. Even though the output for both methods is 1080p60, I still think using a camlink offers better image and smoothness. If anyone else can compare them, I'd like to hear their opinions!
On a side note, I've noticed a lot of people asking for legacy camera support. It probably won't happen considering hardware restrictions of the camera itself, but the Elgato Cam Link 4k can help those achieve this possiblity.
