Looking for ETA on Windows webcam update [ New ]

I just purchased 2 go pro with the mistaken belief that they could be used as a webcam also. I am a window user. So will there be a timely release of the windows webcam or do I go get a refund and purchase another action cam that already has this ability?

If I were you I would return the cameras to the place you purchased them and wait on the Hero 9 unless you need an action cam as a webcam right now, in which case you can buy almost any action cam and use it with a video capture card.  I wouldn't look for a refund from GoPro.  The Mac requirement is all over every page that discusses using the beta firmware to enable webcam functionality.
