Hero9 No Video Preview [ New ]

Hero9 firmware version: 01.21

Connected to

OSX Mojave 10.14.6

USB C to USB C

When I click on the Show Video Preview, I get the same image as in this post

When I select GoPro as my video source in Google Meet, I get the same GoPro splashpage.

I should mention a couple of things

1) I was able to get this working on my older macbook which has newer OSX Catalina 10.15 using USB 2 to USB C connection. So this tells me GoPro or its firmware is not the issue

2) The macbook I'm trying to get it to work on is newer but older OSX (10.14 as stated above) and I can't update it because it's a work laptop. I was hoping to use GoPro as my webcam for work meetings. I also notice that when I connect my GoPro to it, my VPN fails. So I'm not sure if there's some software on here that's blocking it.

Let me know if anyone has experience with this. Did you get it workin on Mojave 10.14?

I'm reading in this post that company VPN policies prevent webcam functionality since it requires a local connection.

For me, I'm happy if I can use this with VPN off, but I still get the GoPro logo/splash page when I view the Preview.

See my reply in next thread (same topic)... Yes, I was able to get preview and all webcam functionality on OSX 10.14.6 (Mojave).  It did not work upon first connection but restarting app and camera got it all working.
