Go Pro webcam really dark if using any other setting that "superwide"[ New ]
Just got a GoPro Hero 9 and was super stoked to use it in webcam mode. I'm having an issue with the image quality when using the camera in either Wide, Linear or Narrow digital lenses. The image appears super dark even in good lighting conditions. The only way I can get the same quality as when I'm filming, is if I put the webcam on pause, then I put it directly in Superwide mode. As soon as I switch it back to Wide / Linear / Narrow, it gets too dark for my usage. Feels like the camera don't want to ajust the exposure in these modes.
Is there any workaround? Is there something I'm doing wrong? I really wish I could use the camera in linear mode with the correct lightning.
I'm using the camera on Mac Os Big Sur on a 2017 Macbook pro.
I've attached a picture comparing linear to superwide to give an idea of the issue.

I have the same problem with the GoPro Hero 8 as a Webcam.
The auto exposure is not good enough in the scenario where the suject is dark skinned, and against a bright/white background wall.
