Telemetry in livestreams?

I have some questions regarding livestreaming from the more recent GoPro models.

 

Is telemetry (GPMF) embedded in livestreams from the camera, or is it only in the .MP4 files saved to the physical SD card?

And, does anyone have experience extracting this data in real-time?

Apparently not for now, but they might be considering adding the feature
