Has anyone experienced corrupted files on GoPro Plus cloud hosting?

I am seeing an issue where approximately 20% of my videos that I've uploaded to GoPro Plus cloud for past 2 years appear to be corrupted.  They won't play in browser and I can't download them from GoPro Plus.  I get the following error about missing key (pasted below).  It appears to be random videos scattered thru 2 years of footage.  Can't tell you what an utter disappointed this is an all the time I've wasted with GoPro support who INSISTS they've never heard of this issue.  A short Google search tells otherwise.  What a load of @#$@#.

 

And I've been using fully supported SD cards, batteries, latest firmware, and regularly format card weekly and have replaced camera 4 times at suggestion of support team.

If by "compressed" version you mean the lower quality 1080p versions, I know how to do that.  I really want the 4k versions which is what I recorded and now appear to be gone.  Also that would mean I'd have to click on literally hundreds and hundreds of videos and try one by one to download the 4k version...and if that doesn't work, then the 1080p version.

 

That would take me days/weeks to do unless you have another method or idea?

I'm having the same issue, this should realy be adressed by GoPro.

The support just asks dumb questions about webbrowser versions and what operation system I'm using. And no feedback...

 

If someone is planning on subscribing on Gopro Plus I would not recomend doing soo.

When videos are uploaded to GoPro plus, you will never be able to download them again...

 

I have lost my last 2 month of videos, all shot in 4k. I've only managed to download them in 1080p.

Yeah I've given up on GoPro.  I've owned multiple cameras (5 now).  ALL of them have had issues with hardware, firmware, and/or software.  GoPro Plus is....unreliable at best and the cameras are very overpriced for the value I get.  Uploads time out regularly and you have to manually start upload process again and again and again including rebooting camera.  In short, video takes ages to upload even with 1Gb Up/Down internet connection with 2ms latency.

 

The corruption issue on files is a show-stopper...sometimes you can't even get the compressed 1080p version and it gives you an option of a "much smaller compressed file" which is probably something even more unusable (480p lol).

 

So in a nutshell I'm strongly considering using my Apple iPhone 11 Max to shoot along with iCloud from now on.  I gave this a go yesterday and it works perfect.  Fast, no issues, camera waterproof and AppleCare + offers better device/HW/SW support than GoPro for cheaper....even for Theft and Loss.

 

And I'll say the 4k video I shot on iPhone 11 Max is hands down better than GoPro.  Better image stabilization, quality, color....and not near the BS involved in uploading to GoPro plus.  Saved myself hours and hours of headache and moved on with my life.

Actually, I did some more investigation and it appears that the videos I do not manage to download in original quiality (4k) The thumbnails for those videos are upside down ? And if I select Get info the information tells me this video is in 1080, not in 4k resolution.
