motion detection [ New ]

Is there a way to change the sensitivity of the motion detection?

Is it in how long you mask the background?

i am trying to capture hummingbirds and it seems i have it either too sensitive and camera constantly records or the opposite and it never sees a difference and never records.

Sometimes you might have to manually "paint out" regions, using your hand in front the lens to mark the areas you do not want to detect.  Detecting a hummingbird in front of a moving background is tricky.

thanks for the reply... how do I "paint out" and area?

I could focus the area on the feeder and maybe it will ignore the tree limbs and other birds in background?

Okay so use my fingers to cover areas, gotcha on that.

If i set it to mask the background for longer period will it allow for less sensitivity?

IE not triggering due to tree limbs moving?

Long helps, but wind is just too unpredictable, they is always a bigger gust in the future.

I was planning to build a unit to record on detection of motion using the raspberry pi, but now, I am bound and determined to do it now with the gopro qr codes!!
