EV Compensation and Lock Shutter

[ New ]

On the QR Control Customizer web page, when I select an EV Compensation value (for example, -0.5), the parameter code x-.5 is added. If I then select a Lock Shutter value (for example 180), the EV compensation options disappear, but the code keeps adding the x-.5 parameter. Is this behavior correct? Code: ti8S180x-.5

Re: EV Compensation and Lock Shutter

The QR controls are trying to mimick the camera's behavior.  The camera technically should still have some EV control with a locked shutter, as sensor gain is still available. Yet as you have discovered, the camera disables EV when the shutter is locked.  It is weird, the camera seems to have always behaved this way.  So yes, by level the x-.5 enabled, the QR controls are trying to set a mode the camera doesn't support, the camera will simply ignore those extra commands.
