transferring photos into the cloud

hi there, im trying to free up my sd card by uploading all my content into the cloud. but I don't have access to a desktop right now since I'm travelling, so I've been trying to use the mobile app. i think I managed to do it via my gopro plus account (the camera showed a prompt that the upload was successful), but I don't know how to double check because the mobile app is not reflecting the files in the cloud view tab.

I want to double check that the data has been transferred before I start deleting files in my sd card.

Re: transferring photos into the cloud

Hello @bianx777

If you have not done it yet, see if Refreshing will do the trick. Also, it sometimes take time to load the media under the Cloud tab. I just tried on my end and I am able to access my cloud media. Did you have older uploads on the cloud? Are you able to access them?

See if you can access your media by logging in to your GoPro account (instead of the app). You can do this by opening a browser on your phone and going to gopro.com/login . Once logged in, your cloud media should show up automatically. You can also filter the files through the three-dot upper right icon, and select "recently Uploaded."

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,
Marius

Re: transferring photos into the cloud

Many thanks Marius!! So I cannot see anything at all in the cloud tab of the app. However, when I tried the online option you suggested, I'm able to see my videos. Just to check (and sorry if this is a silly question), but does it mean that if I see the files in the online site that it should be safe to delete them from the local storage (sd card) of the camera?

Re: transferring photos into the cloud

Hi @bianx777

Yes, it is now safe to delete them from your SD card.

However it would be a best practice to keep some of the important files physically. I mean on other drive/computer.
