I have been using Quik for months now, but yesterday it stopped working. Symptoms:
- Video does not show in the preview window (in edit screen and also in "edit clip" screen)
- Video does show when trimming
- When changing speed settings, Quik crashes
- When exporting video, I get "Error while producing video" after 2-3 seconds
Usually I get problem 4 (and no problems 1-3) when the disk is full, but this is not the case. Sometimes problem 4 also resolves when I just change something about the video (style, music etc), but nothing seems to work this time.
Using Android 9 on Pixel 2 and latest Quik.
Cannot reinstall app as I have a unfinished project I do not want to lose and cannot export due to problem 4.
Please help! What can I do?

Sorry about that :(
If your video isn't saving, try this:
Go back, exit your project and save it as a draft. It will be saved on the Quik Home.
Then kill the app completely, reboot your device. Make space on your device.
Open Quik App, reopen the draft, change something: I suggest you use the video style RAW, then Grammy.
Try to move around some media + delete one media (photo or video), then export again.
Maybe if you have a very high resolution or high fps file, delete that one.
It's hard to know what's going on, it could be lots of things.... There are only those tips that you can try...

Thanks, but unfortunately this did not help. Tried with 30GB of free storage and 10 different styles. All clips are 1080p resolution and 60fps, so very moderate quality.
Surely there must be a log somewhere saying what went wrong?
Any other way to diagnose the problem?

The only thing I can think of is to also try changing songs and last resort remove videos one by one to see which is causing the issue.
It's not possible to debug unless we have the device.
Sorry about that, not much else I can say :(
I don't know if you're aware but we are working on the big challenge of merging Quik App with GoPro App so this is taking all of our ressources and time.
Next update we are pushing for Quik Android is to fix a bug with audio on Pixel 3, however we're not actively fixing other bugs as we have to work on the bigger project.

As you can imagine, it is extremely dissapointing to find the product I bought couple of months ago unusable and to hear that bugfixes are not a priority and are not planned. Sad to see GoPro among the countless products that have amazing design and hardware, but are completely ruined by buggy, unusable and unmaintained software.
But thanks for the honest reply nevertheless.

@bluecreek46533 I understand and I'm sorry, those kind of errors are sadly not detailed and don't say much - hope to improve that in the new app - it could be any problem actually.
See this post here > https://community.gopro.com/t5/GoPro-Apps-for-Mobile/Quik-Android-stuck-loading-presets/m-p/330254 User said "It turned out to be the file format somehow. I was using video files copied from another phone. They were viewable, but somehow not editable"
So it could be a problem with one of the video that is making the engine stuck / enable to process the video. And unfortunatly we don't know which video. Also there was a report that photos modified with the App SnapSeed make Quik crash.

I followed your previous advice and tried to re-create the video clip-by-clip until the error appeared.
The clip that caused the problem was a completely normal video shot with the latest GoPro Hero 7 with latest firmware.
So unfortunatelly could not use this video, but fortunatelly got other clips published. Thanks for you help.
