"SD Card Full" Message on GoPro App; After Troubleshooting

SD Card: Samsung microSDXCUHS-I Card EvOPlus w/ SD Adapter; 256 GB (Brand New)

GoPro: Hero 3+

 

I've formatted the sd card in every manner presented to me on GoPro's support site.

From a Mac:

The GoPro App still says the SD Card is Full so I can't record from the app. Frustrating to say the very least.

However, the app also shows the SD Card to be completely empty.

Is there anything I am missing here??

I was really looking forward to using this but it's turning out to be a lot of trouble.

Note: It does actually record, I just can't initiate recording from the app, which will be necessary for what I'll be using this for.

Thank you for reaching out and going through the recommended steps. A HERO3+camera supports only up to 64GB. Try using a recommended SD card as listed here and see how it goes.

It sounds like it may be more of a limitation with the GoPro app more than the Hero3+ itself. I've tested the recording capabilities with the 256 GB card and the camera itself works great and I had no issues transferring the files from the card.

I am going to see if the GoPro remote will help resolve the remote recording issue.
