quik app always shows same video

We have a newish GoPro Hero 9 which two of us have been connecting to with the Quik app to download, view, edit etc the images and videos.

A couple of days ago when viewing the images it started showing the same video, the first one on the card, regardless of which thumbnail is clicked on.  All the media seems to be there and we have been able to view it on our phones by copying them to Google Photos but this is painful and we cannot use the GoPro editing suite.

If we delete the media that always shows when we click on any of the thumb nails we get to see the next media on the card regardless of which thumbnail we click on.

This is SUPER annoying!!

We have tried:

  • Rebooting the phones
  • rebooting the camera
  • uninstalling the Quik App and reinstalling it... downloading the media again etc.

The phones in question are a Google Pixel 2 and a Google Pixel 5

Thank you for raising this problem.

It's a critical bug and everyone has worked hard to fix: 10.3.2 will solve this.

Another thing that might be a factor is that we used a SD card that had been in a DJI drone.  It has media on it from the drone but that is stored in a separate folder on the card.  The original card (which had been miss inserted and was hiding down the side of the battery the whole time) has since been replaced in the GoPro but the problem persists.

Exact same issue here using GP10.

 

Totally useless at this point.

What version is the app on?

If you have recently updated, can you please try restarting your device?

Having exactly the same issue...I see the thumb nail of the video I want to view but it always plays the 1st video in my library instead...this is really frustrating...using the latest software on a gopro 9...is there a solution?

What phone are you using? If using an Android phone, can you also include the chipset?

What version is the app on?

Hi, App is version 10.3 ( it says its upto date)
Phone is Android and is a Samsung A32 5G model.

tengo el mismo problema, con la subida automatica a la nube gopro desactivada, he conseguido poder ver los videos

 

pero esa no es la solución, deberían actualizar la app :(

I have a problem with my android redmi note 9 pro...
I tried with an IOS i phone 12 and it didn't give me the same problem

desactivar la carga automatica de fotos en la nube gopro soluciona el problema, al menos en mi caso

Thank you for the update, @menosprecio. The issue should be fixed by the latest version of Quik (v10.3.2). Updating to this version of the app should help.

Yep - now seems to work as advertised!  This makes such a differerence.

Well done guys and thanks for the quick turn around on the bug fix.

Attached is a dodgy random pic of seagulls on our local beach last night (Melbourne Cup Day) - but it was exported as a frame and edited with the Quick App which was not possible earlier.
