Does someone have any solution for making connection between Hero 6 and app on Nokia 8 (android 8.1)?
Both on device and app I received message connection succeeded, but when trying to use app (clicking on middle button with camera) get message "we can't connect to your gopro/ something went wrong - give it another shot".
Why does gopro app not support Nokia 8/ android 8.1?

Firstly on the camera.
Go into the camera menu and select 'reset connections'
Next select wifi band of 2.4ghz
Start a connection to the app (this is so you can see the ssid and the wifi password).
now on the phone.
Ensure Bluetooth is on
To ensure a clean start forget the current Bluetooth connection for the hero 6 camera.
Next pair the camera to the phone via bluetooth
Go into wifi settings and the camera and connect the phone to the camera wifi, note you will need to enter the ssid and password from the step above.
this should connect the camera to the phone via wifi and bluetooth.
If you have done the above then now on the camera select connections>gopro app
now start the app on the phone, select the menu option and the camera.
if all is good you should see the camera, with a blue wifi symbol next to it. Now select the camera and in a few seconds it should hopefully connect fully.
Try the above and let us know if it works.

Is it just the first time you are pairing the camera and your phone?
So long as the camera and the app are both up to date - it shouldn't have any issues.
Kindly try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
If it's still the same, reset the camera's wifi information.
Then proceed with the pairing process again.
Let us know how it goes.

@aragon1006 already tried this several times.
Both app and device give message "connected" but when clicking on buttons in app the error message occur after about 1 minute

We appreciate your efforts in going through the suggested steps.
I have just tested a HERO6 Black and an Android phone running on the same OS version - did not encounter any issues.
As a last troubleshooting, kindly try a manual software update on your camera.
Pair the camera after the update is completed.
Should the issue persist, please reach out to our Support Team to check on this further.

I have the same problem with Nokia 8 with my hero3 and now with my new hero7. The camera is connected to the gopro app but when trying to connect the camera or the media on it, it fails.
I updated the camera's software and disabled the network rate as described on the support page.
The camera is connected perfectly with a LG5.

See if uninstalling and reinstalling the app makes a difference.
Please note that you may need to forget the Bluetooth ID and Wi-Fi name.
Let us know if this works.
