Re: How do I get the app for windows 10 laptop/tablet?
[ New ]All apps designed with the new UWP (Universal Windows Platform) platform can run on all Windows 10 devices like PC, Tablets and Phones even hololens and iot if you wish. (with a small amount of modification to the UI) This would result in much lower development costs/time per device since almost every user with a GoPro also has a Windows PC and more and more are getting Windows 10 either through hardware updates like new computers or they used the free software update a while back. And to top things of there is an app bridge from iOS to UWP that lets you bring most of the code over with very little effort. So please consider building ONE app for the entire Windows 10 ecosystem.

Re: How do I get the app for windows 10 laptop/tablet?
[ New ]Just another request for GoPro to create a UWP App for Windows 10. The older Windows 8 Mobile app worked great on Windows 8/8.1 tablets and Windows 8 Phones. Really frustrated that I can't connect to my Hero3+ nor Hero 5 Session now!

Re: Windows 10 App for a Laptop or Tablet
[ New ]Hi Everyone
First post having just bought my first GoPro (Session 5).
I am actually a little surprised at the small number of people posting about Windows 10 app support. Maybe my little bubble of Windows Phone users leads me to believe there are more of us than there actually are or, more likely, other Windows Phone users simply haven't bought GoPro cameras because they did their research and realised they were blackballed before they clicked 'buy'.
Having said that I'll add my voice to those already here calling for a revision of policy from GoPro.
The presence of the UWP platform and tools to port apps over from other operating systems does make the lack of a Windows 10 app seem like almost wanton exclusion from GoPro. I can see the cold business case for ignoring the WIndows 10 mobile market share (although it still seems harsh), but to refuse to develop an app which could run on tablet and laptop/desktop machines as well seems daft. There are clear media and production applications for remotely controlling your GoPro from a more powerful device than your mobile phone, this should be seen as an oppurtunity to expand the app into the desktop/laptop marketplace rather than a waste of resource creating an app for a small number of mobile users. Please GoPro, take one for the team :)

Re: Windows 10 App for a Laptop or Tablet
[ New ]So, on the strength of youtubers all stating that Gopro, is the action camera to be have, and watching many reviews, and shot footage- i stupidly purchased 3, for my next holiday, so we could all film eachother skiing....only to now find out gopro has no interest in providing me a windows app for the the transfer and editing of footage, shame as i have a windows 7 laptop, and a windows 10 laptop....so what a hard time i am now going to have finding easy to use third party software to edit my videos, tried a few and are either far too complicated, take hours to import, or they just freeze. So what am i and everyone else supposed to do now ?
Best advice dont buy any more gopro stuff, unless you have any other operating system.!!! because gopro it has been proven by all these posts, just don't give a rats, about all these customers on many forums with the same issue.

Re: Windows 10 App for a Laptop or Tablet
[ New ]so from reading all the requests of making the go pro app available on windows 10 is anything actually happening? it seems a shame that after all this money we have spent on there product that they cant make a couple of changes to make it combatable with the new windows. ive been looking around for a long time for software so i can edit and share my footage, can anyone suggest any good free ones? seen as the actual people who we bought this product off cant be bothered to.
