Video file size is 0 bytes, can't access video

I am using Session 4 camera. Camera is beeing used in winter (a little under 0 degrees). Sometimes when I start filming it turns off after few seconds. After I restart it, red light is blinking, so I assumed it was filming, but now that I am trying to watch the video, none player can open it and the size is 0 bytes...

Is it possible to recover something from the video?

Feeling hopeful,

Thank you!

Re: Video file size is 0 bytes, can't access video

Hello @stoutcave08740

Sorry to hear about your experience. How did you check on your media? Did you connect the camera directly to a computer? Try removing the SD card from your camera and insert it to your computer through an SD card adapter. If the file size would still say 0 bytes, the camera may have not actually recorded. As such, you may want to do a manual update on the camera then to make sure that it has the latest firmware and will work correctly. You can follow this link for guide on how to go about it: https://gopro.com/update/hero_session

Also, please make sure that you are using a recommended SD card for your camera. Check out the list here: https://gopro.com/help/articles/block/microSD-Card-Considerations

Thanks,
Marius
