Unable to update firmware from app Hero 9 [ New ]

Just recieved my GoPro Hero 9 yesterday. tried to update the camera over the phone, looked through all possibilities of resets and options for OTA. After struggling with the update, the app is unable to connect to the camera. It finds the camera perfectly but is unable to connect. when selecting the Camera wifi, it connects perfectly but ofcourse cannot update because it is connected to a non-internet connected network. 

This needs to be resolved by GoPRO

will try a manual update. First impressions are not good of the overall GoPro experience.

Once done, reset the camera. Go to Preferences> Reset> Factory Reset

Please follow the manual update steps on https://gopro.com/en/us/update/hero9-black

Once done, reset the camera. Go to Preferences> Reset> Factory Reset

Also, please make sure that you are using the latest version of the GoPro App.
