Trimmed video not saving. Stuck on preparing [ New ]

Good morning, I have a GoPro Hero 8 with Android app version 6.2(8306). I saved a video this morning to my phone and then trimmed it down, but when I try to save the trimmed video to my phone, it sits at 0% and says preparing your video. I let it sit for over an hour and it's still sitting at 0%. Any thoughts on this? I haven't tried the Windows app. I'd prefer to edit and upload them from my phone since I am usually recording videos from other locations.

Please try clearing the cache for the GoPro app in your device's settings under the "Applications" section.

It didn't work. Trimmed a different video and got the same result.

Are these videos saved on the app and the phone?

What phone are you using?

Have you tried testing this with a different phone?

The first video from this morning is on both the app and the camera. The trimmed video is only on the app.

The second video from this afternoon is only on the app as is the trimmed video.

I am using a Samsung Galaxy S9+ running Android 9.0. The phone has been rebooted as well.

I don't have another phone to try.

I worked with QA on this and we were not able to reproduce.

Here's what I suggest you try - after the whole, kill and restart app maybe pair again camera/app if possible.
- Film a brand new video in 1080p/60fps

- Connect camera to phone

- Download the video to your app

- Go to Tab App

- Tap on the clip and trim

- Try to save.

Also know that a 6.2.1 and 6.2.2 updates are coming in the following month so the Team is working hard to improve the app :))

So I'm thinking it may have something to do with the 4k 60fps video and the app.

New clip at 4k 60 FPS.

1. Can't view on camera (Already know this)
2. Saved untrimmed video to app.
3. Saved untrimmed video to phone.
4. Create trimmed video on app.
5. Tried to save trimmed video to phone. Gets stuck at preparing.

New clip at 1080p 60 FPS.

1. Can view untrimmed video on camera.
2. Saved untrimmed video to app.
3. Saved untrimmed video to phone.
4. Create trimmed video on app.
5. Saved trimmed video to phone no problem.

Also I was able to trim the 1080p 60 FPS video on the camera, save it to app and to phone without any issues.

I'm going to try to test this on a PC later today or tomorrow.

On a side note, I don't see an option to join a beta for the app in the Play Store.  If you would like for me to test one of the beta builds, please reach out to me.

Just tried it with a video at 4K 30FPS and it works fine.
