Stabilization features in iOS app for overcapture

Are there stabilization features available such as “full stabilization” or “anti-shake” in the iOS app when using overcapture to edit Fusion content?

@papac4

Check the 3 dots during playback.

If a stabilization file exists for that video, then the toggle will show below the gyroscope setting. It's on by default as well!

Cheers,

Ryan

Hi @papac4,

You should not need a stabilization feature in the GoPro App as the camera already has stabilization built in. Is there something specific you are trying to do?

Best,

Ryan

Isn’t there a feature on the desktop fusion software to stabilize a framed portion of the spherical footsge to lock on the horizon or just further stabilize? Giving a gimbal like look?

Re: Stabilization features in iOS app for overcapture

Hi @papac4,

If you are on Version 4.3.1. you should have that option.

Included in 4.3.1:

--- NEW: FUSION OVERCAPTURE ---

With OverCapture, turn your Fusion spherical media into traditional 1080p video that you can share with friends. Pan, tilt and zoom to frame the best parts of your 360 footage. It's fun, easy, and the results are amazing!

--- NEW + IMPROVED ---

+ Enhancements to Fusion spherical media playback
+ Fusion users can now enable Stabilization for spherical videos
+ Updates to support iPhone® X
+ Bug fixes and performance enhancements

Cheers,

Ryan

Re: Stabilization features in iOS app for overcapture

Thank you. I was hoping that was the case, I just can’t seem to find where it is I can activate the stabilization features in the app. Any manuals or tutorials out there?

Or if you could explain how to activate that that would be great.

Re: Stabilization features in iOS app for overcapture

So if the only two options are media info and “turn gyroscope off” is it not available for that particular video? Should I try and reimport the video now that the software is updated? What would cause it not to be available? I am running 4.3.1. Thanks so much for following up.
