Slow file conversion to IOS

Brand new Hero 7 Black. 64GB SanDisk as recommended.
Connect to IOS via WiFi, and Bluetooth.
Import a file, using GoPro app, takes in excess of an hour. I have 6 files to import.
Files recorded at highest quality.

I only want the files on my IOS device(iPad G5, iPhone 6) both show excessively slow conversion times, bordering unusable.

Before you ask...
IOS, up to date.
GoPro App, up to date.
SD Card is compatible.

Re: Slow file conversion to IOS

Hi everyone,

It might be due to high resolution videos and it's in HEVC or high frame rate format.

It would really take some time since iPhone is not using mp4 files.

GoPro has mp4 default file format and it needs to be converted first before transferring to the camera.

We'll try to verify this with our team.

Thanks,

-Jay

Re: Slow file conversion to IOS

Update.
Installed the latest GoPro app update yesterday, and my issue had been resolved.
I had no need to change anything. Just the App update reduced file download/conversion from 2+hours, to 15mins.
