Re-define 'orientation' of Fusion's 360 footage and export it as 360/Metadata for FCPX?

Hi everyone. May be you can help me to figure out following.

I like the overcapture idea but, as I understand, it only allow you to export 2D result. What I really need is to be able to re-define 'orientation' metadata of 360 footage using something like 'overcapture'... and keep it as 360 video. Is that doable somehow now? Key-framing in FCPX is a pain and I don't know how to produce smooth movements that would feel like real camera movements.

Thank you!

Hi @epicridge47853

I understand what you are trying to achieve and I think it is really cool!

Currently, rendering via the Fusion Studio App gives you the option to either keep it as a 360 video or set it to overcapture.

If having both options kept is something you'd like to be able to do in the future, you may leave it as a feedback using this link.

I am not sure though if someone has tried to achieve this orientation using a 3rd party application.

Has anyone tried this? We would appreciate if you can share what steps were taken.

Ej

I use Premiere Pro and keyframe the orientation of my 360 videos. However, if you don't want to do keyframes, you can set the orientation while filming by keeping the front lens pointed to where you want the viewers perspective to be. When you output the stitched video in Fusion Studio, choose full stabilization. This will keep the front lens orientation centered throughout the video.
