Quik export to 4K [ New ]

Seriously -- blaming this on end-user hardware is really poor answer for why GoPro hasn't prioritized this feature.  It's not the fault of end-users, it's that GoPro hasn't committed the $ to the software side of the house.  There are plenty of GoPro users who have desktop systems who can support 4K!  Same goes for ther mobile app as well.  My iPhone has no problem editing 4K GoPro footage on the iMovie app.

It also means that not a single cool 4K GoPro video I've seen was made using Quik.  Doesn't GoPro want creators using GoPro software?  Doesn't GoPro want creators to take full advantage of it's hardware?

I was having a ball with my quik on iPhone XS and then i realised the videos that I have been making off my 4K60 clips are downsized to 720p!

That is a real bummer....Pls enable 4k output on post production videos pls on Quik App.

You can activate 1080p/60fps in the Settings, so it's not 4K but still better than 720p.
Top Right Corner on Home Page of Quik there's a Settings button.

Can you give an ETA for this...Are we talking years, months, weeks? This has been a thorne in my side. The app is awesome and I have all this great 4K content but I have to downgrade it to 1080p. I just think exporting in 4K should be the first priority for this app. How long until GoPro get's there?
