When I creat a video using the quik app in 1080P on my tablet the video stuttersand is veru choppy when it transitions form 1 clip to the next. It does not do this at a lower res of 720.
If I try to play the videos using the capture app they work just fine. It is only when I create using the quik App
I can play other videos in upto 4K just fine on this device ( youtube, The web, Instagram etc.etc. )
My tablet is Galaxy Tab A ( 2016 )
and its completly updated.
Can you please help me ?

I have exactly the same issue in my galaxy tab a with the quick app - after the push upgrade to latest Android version 7.
Before the Android upgrade took place everything was fine and I really enjoyed the quick app. Also the upgrade to latest version of the quick app did not help. Even worse, now I cannot even view the ultra hd videos in the app - black screen.
With VLC media player the videos work fine....any idea?

If you are having issues with freezes / black screens / choppy frames since 4.0 know that we are trying to find a fix, there are some big technical challenges that we are trying to deal with and we're sorry. Currently we don’t have a solution.
The issue usually happens during the transitions between two video clips. If you have two video clips next to each other then the transitions may be corrupt with those glitches and repeated frames. This will more likely affect low-end / mid devices.
You can try to avoid having 2 video clips next to each other (so putting a photo in between) you can try with lower resolution footage > 1080, or even 720 and not 2.7K or 4K.
Those are little tips although clearly not ideal, it's the best we can say. We have no solutions other for now. Again, sorry about that :(

Great. It's September and still no fix. I'm real happy about this purchase (not really). I cannot edit on my phone, tablet or laptop. What, am I supposed to upgrade all of my mobile devices and laptops. This is BS. Never again and I will not recommend this camera to anyone I know. As a matter of fact I will do the opposite.

I'm sorry about that, this issue has nothing to do with the GoPro camera, it's an issue when you are trying to use Quik with your particular device/phone. The device that you have doesn't have the hardware to run Quik smoothly.
We are trying to find work-arounds to this issue but it's a difficult technical challenge.
