Thank you for the feedback, @garyw104. For Android devices, the app may be having trouble processing one of the photos or videos you've imported in the project. Quik integrated in the GoPro App is demanding, basically the less powerful your device is, the more it may crash. By any chance, have you been able to test if the same issue happens with the stand-alone Quik app?
There are tips below that might help. Have a go at them and let us know how it goes.
- Change the video style
- Modify a little something in your project
- Pause the preview to let it load
- Make your video a bit shorter
- Close, reopen the app and restart your device
- Free up memory by closing all other apps
- Free up space on your device (if the app crashes at 100% by a "save to photos" it's probably because you don't have enough space)
- Update your device to the current operating system
- Clear cache on the app through your phone settings. Just clear cache and not data.

Sorry about the issue you are having with Quik App. For now there's no info about a coming update. Best course of action is still to delete and install the app again (save all videos first) sometimes clean install helps reset things up.
We've recently introduced the multi-clip-editing experience (Quik) inside of GoPro App (version 6.0) - it may not be complete right now but watch out for the next update ;) it will bring new things!
None of this worked for me, nearly completed a whole holiday video but cannot open project without all crashing so I can't even export what progress I've made, tablet is a brand new s5e and is fully up to date as is the quick app itself. Have removed cache and tried that doesn't want to work still. This is the third time I've had to make this video as I resorted to reinstalling the app twice before all which deletes all my progress. Have especially spent months training to make one video in my spare time but the app continues to halt it.
Please please please come up with a fix for this that actually salvages my current work instead of me having to start again (again!!)
I'm sorry to hear about that :( I don't have any info concerning an update of Quik App (stand-alone) app, the thing you could try would be to make your video using GoPro App - multi-clip-editing feature which has been added recently in version 6.0. You can still use assets from GoPro as well as from phone.
