Basically, when you’re in edit mode, your images look fine, with no mirror effect on them. But after you save your Quik video to Camera Roll or Quik drafts, an odd-looking mirroring effect has been added to most of the images. I’ve tried many different ways to make it stop, such as pre-cropping all my images into perfect squares to match the format of my Quik video, then I started over and created a new video. I also tried moving the focus to the center of the pictures. So far, nothing has worked. I’m using an iPhone 8+, which I always keep updated.

yep - am pretty darn annoyed 2/10/19 and I am experiencing the same exact thing -using an iphone X - spent almost 3 hours putting together a video of our 2200 mile AT hike only to go to download and the pictures are all mirrored - it took me forever to go through the 1000s of photos I have to make this video...tried everything to fix it with zero luck - they show up as perfectly fine in the preview stage but the minute you upload them, everything is off....been using Quik throughout our entire hike and never had any issues until now

Sorry about the delay. The issue has been fixed however it's possible that we don't update for now.
As per Nick's latest interview:
"The Quik editing app is one of the most popular mobile editing apps out there, and the GoPro app has improved dramatically in quality from year to year…It's still a little funky how the Quik app is separate from the GoPro app, but this year they'll combine into one GoPro app experience…and we're dramatically going to improve the edit capabilities."
So we are now working on the fusion of both apps.
However I suggest that you join our beta testing groups so when we have a version to be tested with the fix you will be able to get it.
First, please sign up here on this Google Form
When it's done, you can ask access to:
iOS beta testing group > https://www.facebook.com/groups/goproapp.ios.beta
There's also an Android beta testing group > https://www.facebook.com/groups/goproapp.android.beta
These groups are to gather feedback/ideas/bug reports or share videos and tips with other user. I will distribute betas there also, when it's ready.
*** You don't need to own a GoPro to participate ***
Looking forward to have you with us :)
Wait, what? From what you wrote, it seems that the issue "has been fixed," but you're going to make everyone wait until you come up with a new merged app this year sometime? My app was working until today and now I have the same problem. Like these other people, I spent hours working on my videos and trying to figure out your app's problem. This is your solution? I usually don't review apps, but guess what I'm going to do right now—in a very bad mood. I rather liked this app until today. I don't care that they're two separate apps. I just want my pictures to be normal!
Guess what else. When you're new app is done, I won't be using that either.
